About Laura
"Flourishing must take precedence over mere survival. I believe that meaningful transformation—personal and systemic—arises when resilience turns into action and justice becomes a lived experience.
For many, there exists an enduring inner spark—a compelling invitation to pursue growth, healing, and empowerment without delay."

UNODC Delegate and Coercive Control Expert
Laura's Professional Journey
My name is Laura, and my lived experience as a domestic violence survivor over four decades continues to shape my lifelong dedication to advancing empowerment, equality, and systemic reform.
As a seasoned Human Rights Legal Expert, I bring more than 25 years of experience in law, policy, and advocacy, with a particular focus on coercive control, trauma-informed policy design, and the protection of vulnerable populations.
My ongoing collaboration with the United Nations and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) focuses on policy innovation addressing coercive control and developing sustainable frameworks that strengthen justice systems and safeguard human rights globally. I am committed to converting high-level policy into practical, enduring change rooted in lived experience and inclusive governance.
Collaborations and Contact
My work spans policy development, strategic consultation, and community engagement—creating intersectional solutions that promote accountability, social equity, and prevention.
I actively welcome opportunities to collaborate with universities, research institutions, and academic networks to advance evidence-based approaches, drive policy reform, and foster collective resilience across societies.
